Planning and Design Centre launches new website

The Planning and Design Centre (PDC) is a non-profit store-front operation that makes planning and design visible, open to discussion and acts as a catalyst for innovation. The PDC recently launched an exciting new website. It can be found at www.pdcentre.ca.

Big Ideas session

The most recent Big Ideas session was held on June 28 at the Music Room in Halifax. Approximately forty community members attended to hear three bold and unique visions for Halifax presented by the panelists. Questions, comments and lively debate followed the presentations. Big Ideas session: Visions of Halifax

Join us on June 28 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Music Room on Lady Hammond Road in Halifax for another Big Ideas session. This session’s focus is “Visions of Halifax”. Speakers include: Valerie Payn, President of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Elizabeth Pacey, Past President of the Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia; Brendan Haley, Energy Coordinator for the Ecology Action Centre; Frank Palermo, Professor, Dalhousie School of Planning and Director of the Cities & Environment Unit.
