TRILLIUM PUBLIC ART COMPETITION - ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNER + EXHIBITION OPENING

In February, the Planning & Design Centre in partnership with W.M. Fares Group launched a two-stage international public art competition. The goal of the competition is to contribute an original piece of public art to the public realm. The piece of public art will be located in Halifax’s vibrant downtown in front of the new live/work development currently under construction in downtown Halifax, The Trillium.

A winner has been selected by an independent jury and will be announced at the opening reception for the Trillium Public Art Exhibition on May 29. The public exhibition will showcase all of the high quality, creative and imaginative ideas from Stage One and Stage Two of the competition.

When: May 30 to June 7, 2009 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday; 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday & Sunday

Where: Exhibition Room, Faculty of Architecture & Planning (5410 Spring Garden Road)
